A secondary practicum site

At this time, our program operates as a secondary practicum site, meant to supplement, not replace, your primary placement. Please confirm your school permits a secondary site before applying.

Who this is for

You will likely thrive here if you are:

  • Enrolled in a Master’s-level counselling or psychotherapy program with a practicum requirement
  • Able to commit to an 8-month minimum placement
  • Grounded in anti-oppressive, client-led values
  • Comfortable working independently in a virtual setting
  • Carrying, or able to obtain, liability insurance and a clear record check

What you will receive

The placement includes:

  • Weekly individual supervision at no cost to you
  • Practice tools for scheduling, charting and billing
  • Administrative support for bookings and client communication
  • Opportunities to co-design groups, workshops and trainings
  • A peer community of values-aligned counsellors-in-training

New for 2027 · In development

A group supervision program

Alongside individual supervision, we are building cohort-based group supervision: a regular space to case-consult, reflect, and learn with peers. Optional, at no extra cost.

How the process works

A thorough, multi-phase process: we are assessing mutual fit as much as fit for our clients. Most applicants reach a decision within a few weeks of applying.

  1. Application submitted

We review your application and confirm your program’s practicum requirements.

  2. Screening questionnaire

A short set of values-based questions sent after we receive your application.

  3. Values & fit interview

A 45-minute virtual conversation about your approach and lived experience.

  4. Clinical interview

A scenario-based conversation with our clinical team.

  5. References & background checks

We confirm insurance, a clear record check, and speak with your references.

  6. Decision & offer

We extend placement offers and confirm your supervisor match.

  7. Onboarding

Systems setup, supervision scheduling, and your first client referrals.
